Born in 1945 in Salamanca, Spain. He was raised in Lanzarote, the Canary Islands (Spain) and has remained based there ever since. Ildefonso is best-known as an experimental artist/painter. He is also an experimental musician, producing his first electroacoustic works in 1973, moving on to electronic / synthesizer based music by the time of his debut album, which he recorded during a short tenure whilst in Germany. He has continued active as an artist and musician, and organized a series of concerts in the caves of Lanzarote along with Russell Mills and many famous artists of the ambient and new-age scenes.
