Arleta (3 March 1945 – 8 August 2017) was a Greek singer. Her real name is Argyro-Nicoleta Chapra. He was born in Athens. She studied painting at the School of Fine Arts. She began her recording career in the 1960s by participating in the so-called new wave of Greek music. In her first recordings she collaborated with several well-known composers, such as Yannis Spanos, Manos Hadjidakis and Mikis Theodorakis. She released three personal albums at the end of the sixties of the new wave era, and a collection of Hadjidakis songs. After a withdrawal from live performances in the 70s and a short hiatus in discography at the end of that decade, she returned to music scene with a slight different style of music.
